  1. Hi Asha,

Love your work and thank you for creating awareness of the importance of protecting our seas and the gorgeous creatures who call it their home :)

Was actually reading the May 21st edition of Newsweek (coverpage titled "the death of our oceans") and wondered if you had gone through it? It's shocking to think of a world where the seas diminish to become a place home to only jellyfish and algae.. The article here indicates that such a scenario might actually be reality 40 years from now.. Newsweek articles referred to here: http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/plenty-less-fish-in-the-sea-dramatic-838275

As depressing as the status quo is, it's important to remember that it's never too late to take charge of our future.. Please do contact me for any marine conservation work that needs to be undertaken :)

    Cheers,
    E

  2. i live in a small town in the italy east coast. Once the Adriatic Sea was a very productive one; we had sharks that came here to breed, and tuna also used to swim in summer in our waters. Now it's almost empty because of an intense fish activity, but there are a lot of jellyfish and algae. In august when the water is warm we had almost every year an algal bloom and the sea become red!!!
    bye
    Federico
